Securing the future of the Pacific cannot be left to chance, but requires a long-term vision, strategy and commitment
Forum Leaders' endorsement of the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent, and its accompanying Implementation Plan, signals a major shift in how we advance Pacific regionalism over the coming 30 years.
The Forum Secretariat supports Forum Leaders and our Member countries to make sound and impactful policy decisions. We will draw on the knowledge and experience gained over fifty years, harness the strengths that we have cultivated, foster a culture of continuous learning, and welcome and embrace the perspectives and contributions of those around us. We will use this as a foundation to effectively address the 2050 Strategy and related policy initiatives so that we can help transform the lives of people in the countries we serve.
Our Staff
We are proud of our diverse and inclusive workforce; individuals from different nationalities and backgrounds working collaboratively to advance the development of our Blue Pacific.
In 2023 we had 115 staff members from 12 countries. Out of these, 64 were international staff and the remaining 51 were local employees. The Forum Secretariat is committed to promoting gender balance and equal opportunities for all employees in support of regional cooperation and development.
