The Pacific Islands Forum condemns the act of terrorism that unfolded on Sunday 14 December at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia.
The Forum family stands with the people and Government of Australia in this moment of grief, following this shocking tragedy.
As a region, our ties are founded on deep bonds of respect and familial relationships.
Respect for all religions and beliefs is central to our Pacific identity and underpins unity and harmony across our richly diverse societies.
Indeed, what affects one of us in the region affects all of us.
The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat remains committed to supporting its Members in the promotion of peace, tolerance, and the respect for diversity across our Blue Pacific Continent.
