The Pacific Islands Forum family extends its deepest condolences to the people and Government of New Zealand following the tragic landslides in Mount Maunganui.
We mourn the loss of lives and hold in our thoughts those who remain missing.
This is a deeply distressing time for the affected communities, and our hearts are with all families and loved ones impacted by these natural disasters.
On behalf of the Blue Pacific region and the Forum Secretariat, we convey our solidarity and support to New Zealand as communities come together in grief, resilience, and recovery.
