- REPORT: The Pacific Regional Private Sector Strategy
The Pacific Regional Private Sector Strategy 2025–2030 outlines a coordinated approach to strengthening micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) by addressing key barriers across six priority areas: improving the business enabling environment, supporting growth and innovation, expanding access to finance, building resilience, promoting inclusive entrepreneurship, and enhancing regional dialogue.
The strategy aims to foster a more adaptable and robust MSME sector capable of responding to economic shocks and seizing emerging opportunities, while ensuring inclusive participation from women, youth, rural, informal, and marginalized groups.
Designed for implementation over a five-year period, it prioritizes feasible and high-impact actions identified through regional consultation, primarily delivered through Regional Collective Actions (RCAs) in collaboration with technical agencies, international organizations, and development partners.
Where regional approaches are less applicable, tailored national-level actions may be pursued to reflect differing country contexts.
The strategy complements national private sector plans and incorporates a mid-term review to maintain flexibility in responding to evolving challenges and opportunities.
