The 6th Korea–Pacific Islands Forum Foreign Ministers’ Meeting will take place from 8–10 December 2025 in Seoul, bringing together Foreign Ministers to advance cooperation under the theme “Partnership for a Resilient, Peaceful and Prosperous Pacific.”

The Meeting will be co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Hyun Cho and Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade of Solomon Islands. Hon. Peter Shanel Agovaka.

Since its inception in 2011, the Korea–Pacific Islands Foreign Ministers’ Meeting has been a key platform for strengthening strategic engagement, deepening development cooperation, and fostering mutual understanding between Korea and the Pacific Islands region.

The partnership continues to expand across priority areas including climate change and environmental resilience, ocean governance and fisheries, sustainable development, and people-to-people exchanges; these priorities will lead the discussions at the Ministerial meet.

Ahead of the Ministerial, Senior Officials had also convened on 25 November and confirmed arrangements to ensure a coordinated Pacific approach.

The Republic of Korea has been a Forum Dialogue Partner since 1995, and the upcoming Ministerial Meeting reflects the enduring value of this partnership in supporting a resilient, and prosperous Blue Pacific Continent.

The Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum, Baron Divavesi Waqa will lead a delegation from the PIF Secretariat to support the high level meeting.
