The Hon. Jotham Napat was elected as the Republic of Vanuatu's Prime Minister for the 14th Legislature on 11 February 2025.

The Hon Prime Minister was elected as the Member of Parliament for Tanna Constituency and is the president of the Leaders Party which emerged from the 16 January snap election with nine seats making it the largest party in parliament.

The Hon Prime Minister was first elected to Parliament in 2016 and was re-elected in 2020, 2022 and 2025. He served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Commerce, Trade and Ni Vanuatu Business from 2019-2020 and as Minister of Infrastructure and Public Utilities from 2016-2018.  

Before entering parliament, he served in various key positions in the Vanuatu government including as Director General of the Ministry of Climate Change Adaptation, Meteo and Geo-Hazards, Energy, Environment and National Disaster Management Office from 2013-2015. He also served as Chair of the  National Disaster Committee in the aftermath of the devastating Cyclone Pam in 2015.

He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with Distinction from Revans University in the United Kingdom.
