Directors of Education and Senior Officials responsible for Inclusive Education in Pacific Islands Forum countries met at the Tanoa International Hotel, Nadi, Fiji from 19-21 October 2011. In attendance were government officials from Australia, the Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Republic of Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. The Pacific Disability Forum, United Nations Economic, Scientific, Social and Cultural organisation (UNESCO), University of the South Pacific USP and an Officer from AusAID were also in attendance. The meeting was opened by Mr. Feleti Teo, Deputy Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat and closed by the UNICEF Resident representative, Mr. Isiye Ndombi.
