PIC participates in Marine Diving Fair 2014

Pacific Islands Centre participated in Marine Diving Fair 2014, the biggest festival of marine sport in Asia. PIC invited the Fijian Embassy in Japan, Marshall Islands Visitors Authority Japan Office and various travel companies to its booth, and jointly promoted Pacific Islands as attractive destinations for diving and marine sports. Palau was announced as the ‘best diving spot’ in 2014 and has won this award three years consecutively.

From 4th to 6th of April, a total number of 51,598 people have visited the Fair and enjoyed the tropical mood set in Tokyo. PIC invited the Fijian Embassy in Japan, Marshall Islands Visitors Authority Japan Office and various travel companies to its booth, and jointly promoted Pacific Islands as attractive destinations for diving and marine sports.

On Friday 4th, PIC held a Seminar for the visiting divers. Together with the PIC staff, special guest from Aqua-Treck MANA in Fiji showed a presentation on ‘resort life and after diving activities.’ The participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the one hour presentation.

At the Fair the organizer announced Palau as the ‘best diving spot’ in 2014 as voted by?Japanese divers. Palau has won this award three years consecutively and Palau Ambassador Mr. Francis Matsutaro together with Ms. Nanae Shingeo, new Managing Director of Palau Visitors Authority, were very grateful to receive it once again.
